Dr. Goh Ping Ping is a Cardiologist and Echocardiologist with extensive experience managing a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases. She has held senior leadership roles in public healthcare institutions and has contributed significantly to national cardiac care development. In 2007, she was appointed Chief of the Department of Cardiology at Changi General Hospital, where she played a key role in developing the Acute Myocardial Infarction Programme to improve emergency care for heart attack patients. At the national level, she served on the National Standing Committee for Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery Services (2012–2014) and the National Resuscitation Council (2008–2011). Dr. Goh graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Medicine in 1988. She completed her Internal Medicine training and obtained her MRCP in 1992 before subspecialising in Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. She further pursued advanced subspecialty training in echocardiography through a clinical fellowship in cardiac imaging at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, United States. She is highly experienced in transthoracic, transesophageal, pharmacological, and exercise stress echocardiography. Dr. Goh is a strong advocate of preventive cardiology and is a Clinical Exercise Specialist accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine. She has held academic appointments as Adjunct Assistant Professor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and has served as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians PACES examinations. She is also actively involved in medical education, research, and women’s heart health advocacy through the Singapore Heart Foundation Go Red for Women campaign.
