Dr. Kam Ming Hian 甘敏贤医生

Dr. Kam is a Senior Consultant Colorectal Surgeon with extensive experience in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures. He was formerly the Director of Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital, where he played a key role in advancing surgical techniques and training. Dr. Kam has trained numerous local and international surgeons and has conducted advanced laparoscopic workshops worldwide. He has also been invited to speak at international conferences on topics related to laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery. He received advanced training at renowned centres in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and Brisbane, Australia. During his public service career, he was appointed Deputy Director at the Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre at SingHealth-Duke Graduate Medical School, where he contributed to the development of surgical training curricula and conducted endoscopy training using high-fidelity simulation. Dr. Kam has a strong interest in colorectal cancer prevention and haemorrhoid surgery, and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and surgical textbooks. He has also held academic roles as Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore.
