Dr. Bryan Tan is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty focus on shoulder and elbow surgery, particularly minimally invasive arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2001 and obtained his specialist qualification, FRCS (Orth), from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. He further advanced his expertise through international fellowships, including a clinical fellowship in shoulder, elbow, and sports surgery in Sydney, Australia, as well as advanced shoulder surgery training in Nice, France under Professor Pascal Boileau, a globally recognized leader in shoulder surgery. Dr. Tan is known for his expertise in complex arthroscopic procedures, including the Latarjet procedure, and has performed one of the highest volumes of such procedures in Singapore. He is actively involved in teaching and regularly conducts training courses for surgeons in Singapore and the region on shoulder and knee arthroscopy techniques. Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Tan is actively engaged in sports such as Muay Thai, powerlifting, and wakeboarding, giving him valuable insight into sports-related injuries and their management.
