Dr Lee Yuh Shan is a haematologist at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in malignant haematology such as lymphoma, leukaemia, myeloma and haematopoietic stem cells transplant. He developed his specialty in lymphoma at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Maryland, United States, where he had first-hand experience in seeing patients under clinical trial with new oral therapy in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and aggressive lymphoma. Dr Lee is active in undergraduate medical training. He is a senior clinical tutor for the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS, and is an adjunct associate professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. He is also a faculty member of the senior residency programme in haematology at SGH. He is an active speaker at regional haematology symposiums especially in CLL/lymphoma. He also contributes to lymphoma support group and Singapore World Lymphoma Day. He has published in many peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals. Seah Dee Wern Melanie

Tan Huat Chye Patrick

Dr Patrick Tan is a haematologist practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Dr Tan is a pioneer in the field of cord blood and stem cell transplant. He performed the world's first successful case of unrelated blood stem cell transplant and unrelated cord blood transplant for thalassemia major, a rare inherited blood disorder. In 1988, Dr Tan was posted as special Fellow to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre in Seattle, USA, to carry out subspecialty work in bone marrow transplant and transplant immunology. He was invited back to in 1991. Dr Tan was formerly the head of the Department of Haematology at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in 1993. In 1995, he was the chairman of the Chapter of Haematology at the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. In 1997, Dr Tan was appointed as the director of the National Blood Centre, Health Science Authority. He became the medical director of the Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant Centre at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in 2004. In the same year, Dr Tan was appointed the first medical director of the Singapore Cord Blood Bank. Aside from clinical work, Dr Tan was also appointed as a clinical associate professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS.

Singh Shekhawat Ravindra

Liew Kay Choon Reginald

Dr Reginald Liew is a cardiologist at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore. He undertook his medical training at Cambridge University, and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, graduating with distinction. He obtained a PhD from Imperial College London, where he investigated the effects of oestrogens on the heart, and received his cardiology training at the Royal Brompton Hospital and subspecialty training in cardiac arrhythmias at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and St George’s Hospital in the UK. He has been active in the field of heart rhythm problems, and was involved in some of the early clinical studies in the UK that validated the use of 3D mapping systems to treat complex heart rhythm problems. Dr Liew was the former senior consultant and deputy director of the research and development unit at the National Heart Centre, where he helped develop the research programme, especially in the fields of cardiac arrhythmias and the use of stem cells in cardiovascular disease. His research interests include atrial fibrillation, cardiac risk assessment, and sudden cardiac death. He is also a member of the research committee for the Singapore Heart Foundation and the basic science committee of the Asian Pacific Heart Rhythm Society. He is a keen health educator and has mentored cardiologists in Singapore and in countries like the UK in performing cardiac EP procedures, and regularly proctors EP cases in neighbouring countries.

Chin Tan Min

Liew Seng Teck Adrian

In recognition of his expertise in nephrology, Dr Liew was elected to the fellowship of various international academic institutions including the Academy of Medicine Singapore, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the American Society of Nephrology. In 2020, he received the John Mayer Award from the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis, an award that honours individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of peritoneal dialysis. Apart from clinical work, Dr Liew is also a member of the executive committee and an elected council member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and chairs the ISN Oceania-Southeast Asia Regional Board and the ISN Renal Disaster Preparedness Working Group. He is also the elected secretary and executive of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis and an appointed member of the KDIGO Guideline working groups for glomerular diseases as well as diabetic kidney disease. He chairs the Asian-Pacific Society of Nephrology Guideline working group on diabetic kidney disease and Dialysis Sub-group for the ISN Global Strategy for End-Stage Kidney Disease. He also previously served at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), where he was instrumental in establishing the heart failure programme as well as the surgical and mechanical assist device therapy programme. Upon his graduation from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 1992, Dr Ng obtained his postgraduate degrees in the UK and Singapore in 1998. He then went on to complete his cardiology advanced specialty training at TTSH. Following that, he left for the US under the Health Manpower Development Plan award. There, he underwent a 15-month fellowship programme at the Cleveland Clinic, where he focused on echocardiography and heart failure transplantation. In 2009, he returned to the same clinic for an observership programme in heart failure, transplantation and assist device therapy. He was a former visiting consultant at the National Heart Centre Singapore and is a visiting consultant at the Gleneagles Jerudong Park Medical Centre, Brunei. He has many research articles on heart failure in peer-reviewed international cardiology journals as well as several book chapters to his name. In the ASEAN region, he is widely recognised as an expert in the field of heart failure and is a frequent invited lecturer at both local and regional conferences, such as the Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiology. At the international level, he has not only given lectures at meetings such as the American Congress of Cardiology annual scientific meeting, but also chaired meeting sessions at the International Society of Heart Lung Transplantation. Dr Ng is also a clinical tutor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a chief instructor for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support course. He has been invited to Malaysia and Brunei to conduct the courses there. In addition, he is a board-certified cardiologist in adult comprehensive echocardiography in the US, which is issued by the National Board of Education.
