Dr. Chin Tan Min

Dr Chin Tan Min is a medical oncologist at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore. Her areas of expertise lie in lung cancers and general oncology. She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) fellowship to pursue further subspecialisation training in thoracic oncology, with a clinical and research fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Centre in the US. Prior to private practice, she was a senior consultant at the National University Cancer Institute at NUH, and a visiting consultant at Ng Teng Fong Hospital. Dr Chin contributes her expertise in thoracic oncology in various Ministry of Health committees, formulating guidelines on screening and treatment for lung cancers. She is also an advisory member for lung cancer for Singapore Cancer Society, and has been involved in educational talks for the public. She was also core faculty for the oncology senior residency programme at National University Health System. She is the principal associate at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, where she continues her current research. She is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, and the International Association of Lung Cancer. With a keen and active interest in translational and clinical research to better patient care, she has conducted several international industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials as principal and co-investigator. Dr Chin’s work has been published in peer-reviewed, high-impact factor journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine and Journal of Clinical Oncology. She contributed to the development of EGFR mutation detection test/kit in lung cancers, in both tumour and blood. Her commitment to patient care has been recognised by SPRING’s Excellent Service Award.
