Teo Cheng Peng Freddy

Dr Teo Cheng Peng is a haematologist practising at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore. He was awarded the Public Service Commission Scholarship by the Singapore government to study medicine at the National University Hospital. His clinical interests are in haematology and oncology. He graduated in 1984 and completed the postgraduate examination in 1987. Under another scholarship, he received further specialised training in stem cell transplantation at the Royal Marsden Hospital, a leading cancer centre in the UK. Upon returning, Dr Teo started the Bone Marrow and Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplant programme at the National University Hospital. In 1995, he was then recruited to develop the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant programme for solid tumours in the department of medical oncology at the Singapore General Hospital. After successful implementation of the clinical programme, he continued his career and work in Gleneagles Hospital, with stem cells in the fields of haematology and medical oncology. Dr Teo continued to develop his interest in the field of stem cells and was one of the pioneers in starting an autologous stem cell bank in Singapore. Dr Teo is the chairman of Gleneagles Hospital's Blood Transfusion Committee. He is also a member of the Singapore Society of Haematology, Singapore Bone Marrow Donor Programme, Singapore Society of Oncology, Society of Transplantation (Singapore), International Society of Haematology and Graft Engineering , and the International Society of Haematology.

Loh Ping Yun Joshua

He graduated with bachelor and master’s degrees from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He completed his specialist training at NUHCS. He was awarded the Academic Medicine Development Award and completed 2 years of advanced training in interventional cardiology and research at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, USA. There, he gained experience in complex procedures while keeping updated with the latest research. In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr Loh was elected fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, UK; fellow of the American College of Cardiology; fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions; fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (AMS); fellow of the ASEAN College of Cardiology; fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology; and fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology. He is regularly invited for lectures and case demonstrations in international meetings, and is a regional proctor in complex coronary interventions in Southeast Asia. He is a strong advocate of patient and clinical care, and is the recipient of 3 Quality Improvement Awards. Dr Loh has authored more than 80 papers in renowned medical journals. He is a subspecialty editor for the Singapore Medical Journal and is on the editorial board for several other medical journals. He was the principal investigator in many international clinical trials. He was the organising chair for the Singapore Cardiac Society (SCS) annual scientific meeting from 2015 to 2017, and holds key positions in SCS, Chapter of Cardiologists (AMS), Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology, and Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology.
