Dr Edgar Tay is a cardiologist practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore. His subspecialty is in adult congenital, interventional cardiology and pulmonary hypertension. Dr Tay is a graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his cardiology training at the National University Hospital, Singapore. He obtained the Ministry of Health Scholarship to undergo sub-specialty training in adult congenital heart disease and pulmonary hypertension at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK and then completed a second year of interventional fellowship at St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver BC where he was trained in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). He now leads the TAVI and mitraclip mitral valve repair programme. Prior to joining private practice, Dr Tay was a senior consultant at the Department of Cardiology, National University Heart Centre (NUHC), Singapore, programme director at the Congenital/Structural Heart Disease Programme, NUHC, visiting senior consultant cardiologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, visiting senior consultant cardiologist at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and assistant professor at the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He has authored or co-authored numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is accredited by the European Society of Echocardiography for adult congenital heart disease and has written book chapters on echocardiography in congenital heart disease and structural intervention. He has also obtained several research grants to develop new transcatheter devices. Presently, Dr Tay is actively involved in the management of patients with structural heart disease, especially those with valvular heart disease who may benefit from transcatheter therapies. He also manages patients with adult congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and those with heart disease in pregnancy.

Dr Khoo Kei Siong is a cancer specialist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He is the deputy medical director at Parkway Cancer Centre, specialising in breast cancer and gynaecological cancers. Dr Khoo received advanced training in breast cancer at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. Before starting private practice, Dr Khoo was a senior consultant and head of the department of medical oncology at the National Cancer Centre (NCC). He was the founding director of the division of clinical trials and epidemiological sciences, and was instrumental in setting up the clinical trials capabilities in NCC. Dr Khoo is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the European Society of Medical Oncology. He was president of the Singapore Society of Oncology from 1998 – 2000. Dr Khoo Kei Siong previously served as the assistant master of administrative affairs in the council of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore from 2015 to 2020. He also sits on the medicine advisory committee in the Health Sciences Authority as its deputy chairman.

Dr Lim Hui Fang is a specialist in respiratory medicine and intensive care medicine at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Her special interests are in severe asthma, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, endobronchial ultrasound and early lung cancer detection. Prior to joining private practice, she was a senior consultant at the National University Hospital's (NUH) respiratory and critical care medicine department. Dr Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and underwent clinical specialty training at NUH. She was awarded an Academic Medical Development Award for a clinical research fellowship in severe asthma at McMaster University, Canada. Upon her return, she set up a multidisciplinary complex airway clinic with otolarygnology, infectious disease and allergy/immunology colleagues to provide a one-stop clinical service at NUH. She was also one of the earliest asthma specialists to start using asthma biologics in Singapore. She has been practising medicine for more than 20 years. She was involved in medical education and was the undergraduate director for the division of respiratory and critical care medicine at NUH. In 2015, she and her team were awarded the National Medical Excellence Award by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for their work in reducing mortality in community-acquired pneumonia. Dr Lim was appointed by MOH as the programme lead and deputy programme lead for the Singapore National Asthma Programme 2 and 3, to provide input on streamlining asthma-related health services. Her research interests include asthma epidemiology, asthma disease mechanisms, airway immune-profiling and pneumonia. She continues her research work as a visiting consultant at NUH and adjunct assistant professor at NUS. Dr Lim is also the deputy director of the NUS immunology translational research programme.

Dr Ang Peng Tiam graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery in 1982. He did his residency in Internal Medicine and was conferred the Master of Medicine(Internal Medicine) in 1986. He completed his Fellowship in Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas and Stanford University Medical Centre in 1989. Dr Ang was awarded Singapore President's scholarship in 1977. He was awarded the Prof Sir Gordon Arthur Ransome Gold medal for being the top candidate in the Master of Medicine Clinical Examinations in 1986, and Singapore's National Science Award in 1996 for his outstanding contributions in Medical Research. In recognition of his public service, the Sultan of Kedah conferred upon him a datukship in 2003. Dr Ang was founding Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at Singapore General Hospital from 1991 to 1997. He held the concurrent post of Director of the Oncology Centre and Clinical Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, NUS. He remains a Visiting Consultant at National Cancer Centre. He is the Vice Chairman of Singapore Cancer Society, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of Breast Cancer Foundation. He was past President of Singapore Society of Oncology. He maintains a keen interest in research and has published and presented more than 100 papers and abstracts.

Dr Michelle Lim is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. She specialises in general obstetrics, gynaecology and minimally invasive (laparoscopic/keyhole) surgery in the removal of ovarian cysts, fibroids, uterus and surgical treatment of endometriosis. Before entering private practice, Dr Lim was a consultant obstetrician gynaecologist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and ran dedicated services at the minimally invasive surgery and endometriosis centre. She graduated from the National University of Singapore and subsequently attained her membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK. She was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan award for the advancement of minimally invasive surgical skills in complex gynaecological surgeries and endometriosis, and she completed her surgical fellowship in Taiwan. She is a fellow of several organisations including the Gynecologic Laparoscopic & Hysteroscopic Surgery, China Medical University Hospital; The Asia-Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy; and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Lim held the role of a Level 3 (advanced laparoscopy) surgical trainer at KKH and to date has performed more than 800 advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures. She has been practising medicine for more than 15 years. In addition to her clinical role, Dr Lim has been invited as a speaker and surgical trainer in both local and regional conferences. She was also appointed as a core faculty member of the SingHealth obstetrics and gynaecology residency programme, and lectures at local medical and nursing schools. Dr Lim has been awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service awards, the Patient Safety Council Patient Safety Award and the Service from the Heart Award.
