Dr Richard Quek is a medical oncologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Gleneagles Hospital, and Parkway Cancer Centre. Dr Richard Quek founded the Singapore Sarcoma Consortium in 2013 and the Asian Sarcoma Consortium (ASC) in 2015. He has received numerous awards including Service Excellence Awards in 2004 and 2005 and the SingHealth Outstanding Educator Awards in 2013 and 2015. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals and continues to be actively involved in research and education.

Lee Cheng Kiang

Ravi Seshadri @ Srinivasan

Dr Ravi Seshadri is an ear, nose, throat (ENT) surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, and currently practises out of his clinic at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He specialises in caring for patients with nasal allergy, snoring and throat and voice problems. He also sees a wide variety of paediatric patients with ear, nose and throat problems. Upon his graduation from the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Medicine (MBBS, 1984), Dr Seshadri went on to complete his ENT Advanced Specialty Training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Following that, he left for the UK under the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Award. There, he underwent a 14-month fellowship programme in ENT at Charing Cross Hospital in London. Then in 1995, he underwent further training at the Pacific Voice & Speech Foundation in California, USA under the TTSH Scholarship Award. During the six-month programme there, he focused on Laryngology and Phonosurgery. In 1997, he was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Prior to his move to private practice, Dr Seshadri was a consultant at the Department of Otolaryngology at TTSH. Presently, he continues to run a Voice Clinic at the Hospital, where he not only sees patients but trains junior doctors as well. Dr Seshadri is highly respected in the medical community for his expertise. Dr Ang Peng Tiam graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery in 1982. He did his residency in Internal Medicine and was conferred the Master of Medicine(Internal Medicine) in 1986. He completed his Fellowship in Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas and Stanford University Medical Centre in 1989. Dr Ang was awarded Singapore President's scholarship in 1977. He was awarded the Prof Sir Gordon Arthur Ransome Gold medal for being the top candidate in the Master of Medicine Clinical Examinations in 1986, and Singapore's National Science Award in 1996 for his outstanding contributions in Medical Research. In recognition of his public service, the Sultan of Kedah conferred upon him a datukship in 2003. Dr Ang was founding Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at Singapore General Hospital from 1991 to 1997. He held the concurrent post of Director of the Oncology Centre and Clinical Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, NUS. He remains a Visiting Consultant at National Cancer Centre. He is the Vice Chairman of Singapore Cancer Society, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of Breast Cancer Foundation. He was past President of Singapore Society of Oncology. He maintains a keen interest in research and has published and presented more than 100 papers and abstracts.

He was appointed clinical senior lecturer and then adjunct assistant professor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is a faculty member of the National Healthcare Group's (NHG) residency programme and served as the chairman of NHG's hand surgery residency programme evaluation committee. As fellowship supervisor of sports surgery at TTSH, he has mentored clinical fellows from India, Philippines and Malaysia. Dr Ramesh has published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Tan Seang Beng

He was the head of the department of paediatric orthopaedics at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 2001 – 2003. He completed his orthopaedic residency training in Singapore in 1989, and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral fellow in spine surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas from 1989 – 1990. He is an adjunct associate professor with Duke-NUS Medical School. He is passionate about teaching medical students, orthopaedic residents, local and international surgeons, and played an active role in the setup of the musculoskeletal programme at Duke-NUS Medical School in 2010. He is active as a board member of the Pacific Asian Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (PASMISS), the International Group for Advancement in Spinal Science (IGASS), and is a member of the AO Lumbar Technical Committee. He served as the president of the Singapore Spine Society for 2018/2019. He has been published in over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and is 1 of 6 consultants worldwide for Johnson & Johnson in the development of the next generation of MIS. Dr Tan was awarded the Russell Hibbs award by the Scoliosis Research Society in 1996. He also previously served at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), where he was instrumental in establishing the heart failure programme as well as the surgical and mechanical assist device therapy programme. Upon his graduation from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 1992, Dr Ng obtained his postgraduate degrees in the UK and Singapore in 1998. He then went on to complete his cardiology advanced specialty training at TTSH. Following that, he left for the US under the Health Manpower Development Plan award. There, he underwent a 15-month fellowship programme at the Cleveland Clinic, where he focused on echocardiography and heart failure transplantation. In 2009, he returned to the same clinic for an observership programme in heart failure, transplantation and assist device therapy. He was a former visiting consultant at the National Heart Centre Singapore and is a visiting consultant at the Gleneagles Jerudong Park Medical Centre, Brunei. He has many research articles on heart failure in peer-reviewed international cardiology journals as well as several book chapters to his name. In the ASEAN region, he is widely recognised as an expert in the field of heart failure and is a frequent invited lecturer at both local and regional conferences, such as the Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiology. At the international level, he has not only given lectures at meetings such as the American Congress of Cardiology annual scientific meeting, but also chaired meeting sessions at the International Society of Heart Lung Transplantation. He was the vice-president of the Heart Failure Society (Singapore) and co-chairman of the heart failure advisory committee, Singapore Cardiac Data Bank. Dr Ng is also a clinical tutor at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a chief instructor for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support course. He has been invited to Malaysia and Brunei to conduct the courses there. In addition, he is a board-certified cardiologist in adult comprehensive echocardiography in the US, which is issued by the National Board of Education.
