Dr Ma Li is an obstetrician and gynaecologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Her special interests are endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, uterine fibroid, adenomyosis, ovarian cyst, sonography in endometriosis, advanced laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. She provides comprehensive assessment using endometriosis mapping scan and up-to-date treatments for patients with endometriosis. She is experienced in surgery for complex gynaecological conditions and deep infiltrating endometriosis. She founded the endometriosis clinic at the National University Hospital (NUH) and was involved in endometriosis care in all aspects. Dr Ma graduated from Tsinghua University, China. She did her obstetrics and gynaecology residencies at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China, followed by NUH. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, USA. She has completed more than 1500 stage IV endometriosis surgeries, including bowel endometriosis, urinary tract endometriosis, endometriosis related infertility, diaphragmatic endometriosis and endometriosis in other rare locations. She has been practising medicine for more than 15 years. Dr Ma is also engaged in teaching activities, including surgical training for residents and minimally invasive surgical training for surgeons. She is also involved in raising awareness for endometriosis. She is the medical advisor for the Singapore endometriosis support group and founded endosupport.sg, which provides information on endometriosis to the public. She received the Incredible Care Service Champion award.
