Dr. Eng Soh Ping Elliot is a Senior Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) at The Ascent Ear Nose Throat Specialist Group, with clinics in Orchard, Thomson Road, and Telok Kurau Road. He provides comprehensive ENT care for both adults and children, with particular expertise in otology, laryngology, hearing restoration, voice disorders, and balance-related conditions. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as a pioneer in introducing innovative ENT technologies and minimally invasive surgical techniques in Singapore.
Dr. Eng's clinical interests encompass ear and hearing disorders, balance disorders, voice and throat conditions, nose and sinus diseases, thyroid and salivary gland disorders, obstructive sleep apnoea, and paediatric ENT conditions. He has extensive experience in hearing implantation surgery for children and adults and was the first ENT surgeon in Southeast Asia to perform the Retro-X semi-implantable hearing aid procedure in 2006. He also pioneered injection laryngoplasty and introduced laser-assisted middle ear surgery during his tenure at Changi General Hospital, significantly advancing ENT care in the region.
Dr. Eng graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1991 and completed advanced surgical training in the United Kingdom before obtaining fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and Ireland. He later pursued subspecialty training in Otology and Laryngology through the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Programme, followed by advanced international training at the University of Toronto, University of Wisconsin, UCL de Mont Godinne, and the Portmann Ear Institute.
