Dr. Lee Kim En 李金恩医生

Dr. Lee Kim En is a senior neurologist with extensive experience in stroke treatment and neurological care. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1993 and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 1996. He completed his specialist training in Neurology before pursuing a clinical and research fellowship in Stroke and Critical Care Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. In 2004, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and subsequently completed a sabbatical fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Lee has played a pivotal role in advancing stroke care in Singapore. He was instrumental in establishing the Acute Stroke Service, implementing MRI-based stroke assessment for ischemic stroke patients, and developing the “Hub and Spoke” TeleStroke model to support acute stroke care across multiple hospitals. He has held several key leadership roles at the National Neuroscience Institute, including Deputy Director, Education Director, and Head of Department (Neurology), serving across multiple major hospitals. In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Lee is deeply involved in medical education and policy. He has served on multiple residency advisory committees and chaired the Ministry of Health’s Stroke Integrated Care Pathways committee. He is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School, and continues to contribute as a Visiting Consultant to several national institutions.
