Dr Chew Huck Chin is a respiratory physician and intensivist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. In addition to general respiratory medicine, Dr Chew has special interests in intensive care medicine, non-invasive ventilation as well as bronchoscopy. He is well-versed in advanced ventilator support including extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation, airway pressure release ventilation, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation and advanced bronchoscopic techniques such as endobronchial ultrasound guided transbronchial needle aspiration. He was a former consultant at the department of respiratory and critical care medicine at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He has been practising medicine for more than 20 years. Dr Chew has been involved in numerous committees including chairman of the medical board for Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, treasurer and executive committee member for the Society of Emergency Medicine, Singapore and treasurer for the Society of Intensive Care Medicine, Singapore and SG-ANZICS conference. In addition, he was also appointed to the Sengkang General Hospital pro-tem committee as well as clinical service planning committee. He has been the supervisor in SGH’s respiratory therapy department and has a keen interest in the advancing technology of non-invasive ventilation. He is an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and a senior clinical lecturer at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is accredited in emergency medicine, respiratory medicine and intensive care medicine. In the field of clinical research, Dr Chew has published in several international journals such as CHEST, Journal of Resuscitation, European Journal of Emergency Medicine and American Journal of Emergency Medicine, and has been involved in several local and regional clinical trials. He is also an invited reviewer for the Journal of Respirology, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and Singapore Medical Journal.

Dr Chui Chan Hon is a paediatric surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. His clinical interests are paediatric surgical oncology and paediatric endoscopic surgery. He treats childhood cancers including solid tumours like neuroblastoma, sarcoma and recurrent solid tumours. Dr Chui was a senior consultant and head of the department of paediatric surgery at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). He is currently a visiting consultant in the department of paediatric surgery there. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He subsequently completed his basic surgical training and obtained his fellowship diploma in surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow, UK. He underwent advanced surgical training in paediatric surgery under the Academy of Medicine and on his completion, he was awarded the Certificate of Specialist Accreditation in paediatric surgery by the Ministry of Health. Dr Chui completed a fellowship programme in paediatric surgical oncology at St Jude Children's Research Hospital, USA. Upon his return to Singapore, he led the development of paediatric surgical oncology at KKH. He established the Children’s Cancer Research Laboratory there researching childhood solid malignancies and was one of the earliest surgeons to develop the paediatric minimally invasive surgery programme at KKH. Besides his clinical work, he was a clinical senior lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He is an advisor at the Guangdong Province Anti-Cancer Association, China, and a member and past secretary in the executive board of the International Society of Pediatric Surgical Oncology. Dr Chui has travelled widely to give presentations and has published extensively in many peer-reviewed international and local journals. He is an associate editor of the World Journal of Pediatric Surgery.

Dr Ang Ai TinFAMS

Dr Ang Ai Tin is a Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Thomson Paediatric Centre with more than three decades of experience in caring for newborns, infants, and children. Since joining Thomson Paediatric Centre in 1991, she has played a key role in providing neonatal and paediatric care, particularly for newborns requiring specialized medical attention during the critical early stages of life. Dr Ang graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and obtained her Master of Medicine in Paediatrics from the same university in 1987. She was subsequently accredited as a Neonatology specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board in Singapore in 2011. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to delivering evidence-based neonatal care while supporting families through the early developmental stages of their children. Her clinical practice focuses on the health, growth, and development of newborns, including premature infants and babies requiring specialized neonatal management.

Dr Tan Kuanyang is a Consultant Paediatrician at Thomson Paediatric Centre who is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents. Graduating at the top of his class from the National University of Singapore in 2004, he received multiple Dean's List awards and academic prizes throughout medical school. His clinical philosophy combines scientific excellence with clear communication, ensuring that parents fully understand their child's condition and treatment options while receiving personalized medical care. Dr Tan completed most of his specialist paediatric training at the National University Hospital, where he developed extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of childhood illnesses. He further broadened his expertise through overseas clinical attachments at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Northwick Park Hospital in the United Kingdom, and KK Women's and Children's Hospital in Singapore. As both a paediatrician and a father, Dr Tan has a strong interest in breastfeeding support and parent education, helping families gain the confidence and knowledge needed to provide the best possible care for their children from infancy onwards.
