Dr. Wang Junjie (JJ) is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Thomson Women's Clinic & Cancer Surgery, Thomson Medical Centre. With over 17 years of clinical experience, he specializes in gynaecologic oncology and provides comprehensive care for women with pre-invasive and invasive gynaecological cancers, including cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers. He also offers comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services, including antenatal and postnatal care, early pregnancy care, and the management of benign gynaecological conditions such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, and menstrual disorders. Dr. Wang is one of Singapore's accredited Gynaecological Cancer Surgeons with expertise in minimally invasive surgery for both cancerous and benign gynaecological conditions. His procedural expertise includes laparoscopic surgery, deep pelvic surgery, Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (VNOTES), hysteroscopic surgery, myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, and colposcopy. From 2022 to 2025, he served as Head of the Department of Gynaecological Oncology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH), where he led the founding team that established Singapore's first OncoFertility Clinic, providing fertility preservation options for women undergoing cancer treatment. Dr. Wang obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 2007 and completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KKH, where he was awarded Best Registrar during residency. He later earned Membership and subsequently Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, FRCOG). In 2018, he received the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Fellowship for advanced laparoscopic oncological surgery training in Switzerland and France. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Wang is actively involved in research, medical education, and professional leadership. He holds academic appointments at Duke-NUS Medical School, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU), and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS), while serving on the councils of several national professional organizations in Singapore.
