Dr. Grace Chan Yin Lai is an experienced Allergist, Clinical Immunologist, and Rheumatologist with a strong focus on patient-centred care and long-term disease management. She is known for building close therapeutic relationships with her patients and supporting them in regaining quality of life and returning to activities they enjoy. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa, allowing her to serve a diverse patient population effectively. Prior to private practice, Dr. Chan served as Senior Consultant at the Department of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Clinical Immunology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore. She led the Allergy and Clinical Immunology service and also served as Program Director for specialist training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. In addition, she held academic appointments as Clinical Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Clinical Teacher at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr. Chan graduated from the University of Malaysia Sarawak in 2000 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2006. She completed her specialist training in Rheumatology, Allergy, and Clinical Immunology at TTSH in 2010. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), and the American College of Rheumatology (USA). She received the National Health Group HMDP Award in 2015 for advanced training in drug desensitization at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. She also holds leadership roles including Vice President of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society (Singapore) and Council Member of the Lupus Association of Singapore.
