Dr. Cheng Yew Kuang 郑有鑛医生

Dr. Cheng Yew Kuang is a Consultant Allergist and Rheumatologist at the Allergy, Arthritis & Rheumatism Clinic in Farrer Park Hospital. He received his basic medical training from the National University of Singapore and began his specialist training in Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In 2004, he was awarded a Ministry of Health scholarship to pursue advanced training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. Upon returning to Singapore, he established the country’s first immunotherapy service for insect venom allergy. He subsequently served as Consultant Physician at the Department of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital before entering private practice. He has been performing high-resolution musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures since 2004 as part of his clinical practice. Dr. Cheng continues to contribute to medical education as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is also actively involved in regional and international rheumatology and immunology organizations, including serving on the Board of the Asia Pacific League Against Rheumatism (APLAR) and founding the APLAR Young Rheumatologist Network.
