Dr. Eugene Lim Ui Chong

Dr. Eugene Lim is an experienced rheumatologist with a special interest in advanced imaging, particularly musculoskeletal ultrasound, as well as interventional pain management and regenerative therapy. He has extensive experience managing a wide range of rheumatic and autoimmune conditions, including osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and lupus. Dr. Lim obtained his basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1990, followed by his postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine in 1996. He completed his Rheumatology training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, achieving specialist accreditation in 2000 before transitioning into private practice. Prior to this, he served as a rheumatologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is a pioneer in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology in Singapore and has received accreditation as a European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Trainer, as well as certification as an interventional pain sonologist by the World Institute of Pain. Dr. Lim integrates advanced imaging into early diagnosis and treatment, using ultrasound to guide therapeutic interventions and optimise patient outcomes. His clinical interests extend into niche areas such as reproductive immunology and immune-related adverse events from immuno-oncology treatments. His treatment philosophy focuses on aggressive, target-driven care to achieve remission or optimal disease control for his patients.
