Dr Edward Cheong is a Senior Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgeon who currently practises at PanAsia Surgery Clinic on Orchard, Thomson Road, Napier, Irrawaddy Road, and Telok Kurau Road.

With over 30 years' experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery , Dr Cheong specialises in minimally invasive and endoscopic management of upper GI conditions, particularly oesophageal and gastric cancer.
His practice includes laparoscopic GI and general surgery , minimally invasive oesophagectomy, minimally invasive oesophago-gastric surgery, and endoscopic treatment for early upper GI cancers. He also applies Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) principles to support post-operative recovery, and has experience in managing anastomotic leaks.
He completed his higher specialist surgical training between 2002 and 2008 at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in the United Kingdom.
