What to Expect
- Arrive at the Health Screening Centre between 7:30 am and 8:00 am fasting
- Registration and health questionnaire completion at the reception desk
- Fasting blood draw performed by a phlebotomist in the collection suite
- Urine sample collection provided at the adjacent specimen collection point
- Resting ECG recorded by a trained cardiac technologist
Preparation
- Fast for a minimum of 8 hours before your appointment; water and prescribed medications are permitted
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to the screening
- Refrain from strenuous exercise for 12 hours before the appointment to ensure accurate cardiac and metabolic readings
- Bring a list of all current medications and supplements for review by the physician
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the arms for blood pressure measurement
