Dr Tan Kai Lit is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinician with KL Tan Clinic & Surgery for Women, at Thomson Road. He has a special interest in medical and surgical management of high-risk pregnancies (e.g. twins), ultrasound assessment of at-risk fetuses and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures Dr Tan has been in medical practice since 2003. Prior to joining Thomson Medical Centre, he has served at various hospitals comprising Whittington Hospital (London), National University Hospital Singapore and most recently KK Women's and Children's Hospital where he was a Consultant and Adjunct Assistant Professor. He held teaching positions in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) by Singhealth, he pursued further training in Fetal Medicine, in particular fetoscopy/fetal intervention in Hospital Clinic Barcelona, Spain, an eminent centre internationally. There, he honed his skills in fetal echocardiography, neurosonography, prenatal diagnosis, fetal surgical pathologies, multiple pregnancies and growth restriction.
