He graduated from the National University of Singapore School of Medicine in 1992 and currently practices as a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. His clinical expertise centers on treating sports injuries affecting the knee and shoulder, with a strong emphasis on restoring function and enabling patients to safely return to their previous level of activity. Dr. Yegappan completed his orthopedic training in Singapore before undertaking a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Methodist Sports Medicine Center in Indianapolis, USA. He performs a wide range of minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, including ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration, shoulder reconstruction, and shoulder replacement surgery. He also has extensive experience managing fractures of both the upper and lower limbs resulting from sports and traumatic injuries. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Yegappan actively contributes to orthopedic education as an instructor for ISAKOS basic and advanced arthroscopy workshops throughout Singapore and the ASEAN region. He is regularly invited to teach and perform live surgical demonstrations, reflecting his dedication to advancing orthopedic sports medicine in the region.
