Dr. Cliff Wong Chun Pong 黃振邦医生

Dr. Cliff Wong Chun Pong is a cardiologist and echocardiologist with expertise in advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure management, and preventive cardiology. He previously served as Senior Consultant and Lead for Cardiac Rehabilitation at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where he also contributed extensively to echocardiographic services and multidisciplinary cardiac care. He played a key role in streamlining the management of young stroke patients through echocardiographic screening (transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography) and coordination of patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore. He was also involved in developing cardio-oncology echocardiographic services. \n\nDr. Wong graduated from the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine in 2002 and completed his internal medicine training, obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008. He subsequently trained in cardiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In 2017, he was awarded the Human Manpower Development Program scholarship by the Singapore Ministry of Health to pursue advanced cardiac imaging fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA. He later obtained board certifications in echocardiography (ASCeXAM) and cardiovascular computed tomography (CBCCT), and is a Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. \n\nHe has held academic and teaching roles as Core Clinical Faculty for the Cardiology Senior Residency Programme (National Healthcare Group) and as a member of the Cardiology Resident Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Health. He received the Teaching Excellence Award (Postgraduates) in 2022. Dr. Wong has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, contributed book chapters in cardiovascular medicine, and received several awards in international cardiology scientific meetings. \n\nHe is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and was awarded Fellowship of the American Society of Echocardiography in recognition of his contributions to echocardiographic imaging. His clinical expertise includes advanced transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, and cardiac CT imaging.
