Dr. Zul Hilmi Yaakob

Dr. Zul Hilmi Yaakob is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician with expertise in Interventional Cardiology and comprehensive cardiovascular disease management. He graduated from the University of Tasmania, Australia, before completing his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). He previously served as a Senior Lecturer in Cardiology at UMMC before transitioning into full-time private clinical practice. Dr. Zul Hilmi currently practices as a Resident Consultant at Tawakkal Specialist Hospital and a Sessional Consultant at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. His clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, with particular interest in complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), angioplasty, and coronary stenting procedures. He is also experienced in non-invasive cardiac diagnostics including transthoracic echocardiography, treadmill stress testing, and CT coronary angiography. Dr. Zul Hilmi is actively involved in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk reduction strategies to support long-term heart health.
