Dr. Seenivasagam Theruvenkidan Pillai

Dr. Seenivasagam graduated from Universiti Malaya in 1997 and subsequently obtained a Master in General Surgery from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2004. He was gazetted as a general surgeon with the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia in 2005. He underwent subspecialty training and obtained a Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery from the Singapore General Hospital Postgraduate Medical Institute in 2009, following which he was appointed as a Colorectal Surgeon with MOH Malaysia in 2011. Dr. Seenivasagam obtained the National Specialist Registry (NSR) in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery in March 2012. He has vast experience in managing surgical and colorectal cases, working as a general/colorectal surgeon for 15 years and is highly skilled in performing laparoscopic colectomies, open colectomies, and general surgery cases such as thyroid, gastric and hernia surgeries. He is also an expert in managing hemorrhoids and complex anal fistula diseases, proficient in multiple techniques including stapler hemorrhoidopexy, hemorrhoidal artery ligation, and laser hemorrhoidopexy.
