Who should take a pap smear test? - Every woman ages 21 to 65 is recommended to repeat Pap testing every 3 (THREE) years. - Every woman age 30 and older can consider Pap testing every 5 (FIVE) years if the procedure is combined with testing for HPV. Preparation before the pap smear test: - A period-free day is best, making the test easier for you and your doctor. - Avoid vaginal intercourse, douching and any vaginally applied medicine for at least 2 (TWO) days before the test.
