Dr Mark Fernandes is a gastroenterologist practising in Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore. Dr Kieron Lim is a gastroenterologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Dr Lim graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine (UK) and worked at the liver unit at the Royal Free Hospital before returning to Singapore. He undertook his fellowship training in advanced liver disease and liver transplantation at the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute at Mount Sinai, New York, USA. He was formerly an assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and honorary adjunct assistant professor at the division of liver diseases, Icahn School of Medicine, USA. Dr Lim has published multiple research studies in gastroenterology and hepatology. He is an invited reviewer of peer-reviewed journals including the World Journal of Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases and Singapore Medical Journal. He is also an editorial board member of the Hepatology – European Medical Journal, scientific committee member of the Asia-Pacific Primary Liver Cancer Expert Association, and invited reviewer for the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Health and Medical Research Fund.
