Prof. Kong Hwai Loong 江慧龙副医生

Prof. Kong Hwai Loong is a highly accomplished Medical Oncologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of adult cancers. He is currently practicing at Icon Cancer Centre and is widely recognized for both his clinical expertise and contributions to oncology research and medical education. He graduated top of his medical class from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1988. He went on to obtain his Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from NUS in 1993 and earned Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), establishing a strong foundation in internal medicine and oncology. Prof. Kong has received numerous prestigious awards in recognition of his research achievements, particularly in anti-angiogenesis and gene therapy. These include the Singapore Young Scientist Award, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Merit Award, and the Singapore Youth Award, which he received twice. He was also honored with the National Day Award by the President of Singapore for his contributions to scientific research and research administration. In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Kong is deeply involved in medical education and has delivered numerous lectures on oncology and youth-related topics. His clinical interests include a wide range of adult cancers, including breast, urogenital, gastrointestinal, lung cancers, and melanomas.
