Dr. Wong Poo Sing 黄步星医生

Dr. Wong Poo Sing is a highly experienced cardiothoracic surgeon with expertise in both cardiac and thoracic surgery. He graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College London, and obtained his MBBS from the University of London in 1986. He completed his specialist training in cardiothoracic surgery at renowned institutions in the United Kingdom, including the Royal Brompton Hospital and the London Chest Hospital. Dr. Wong holds multiple prestigious fellowships, including the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the United Kingdom Intercollegiate Specialty in Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Between 1995 and 2001, he contributed significantly to the development of cardiothoracic surgical services in Malaysia, particularly in Penang and Johor Bahru. He later moved to Singapore, where he served as Associate Professor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore, and as Senior Consultant and Clinical Director of the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at the National University Hospital until 2006. Dr. Wong entered private practice in 2007 and has played a key role in establishing cardiothoracic surgical services at Farrer Park Hospital. His current practice focuses on thoracic surgery, including the management of lung cancer, infections, trauma, and chest wall conditions, while also providing consultation for selected cardiac surgery cases.
