Dr. Vincent Lai 黎偉君医生

Dr. Vincent Lai is a specialist in inflammatory conditions affecting both the gastrointestinal tract and the liver, including inflammatory bowel disease and viral hepatitis. He has extensive experience managing complex hepatology cases and gastrointestinal disorders. Prior to his current practice, he served as a consultant in a teaching hospital and later joined the liver transplant program at the National University Hospital, gaining valuable exposure to advanced liver disease management and transplantation care. Dr. Lai obtained his primary medical degree from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. He completed his specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in England, including five years in Birmingham, home to one of the largest liver transplant units in Europe. During this time, he developed strong expertise in managing advanced liver conditions and transplant-related care. He was awarded the prestigious Medical Research Council Clinical Training Fellowship and completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham, focusing on liver immunity in viral hepatitis. He is accredited in Gastroenterology by the Specialist Accreditation Board in England and has also contributed to the development of colorectal cancer screening programs in Derby Hospital. His clinical interests remain in hepatology and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.
