Dr. Victor Wang Tzong-Jing

Dr. Victor Wang is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon specialising in spine surgery. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2006. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (United Kingdom) in 2008, and later obtained his Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2015. In 2016, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedics. Dr. Wang has played a significant role in advancing spine care, including contributing to the establishment of the NHG Spine Centre, where he served on its inaugural Executive Committee. He is experienced in the use of computer navigation technology for complex spine surgeries and is a strong advocate of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) principles to improve patient outcomes. He is also actively involved in post-operative recovery initiatives at Woodlands Health. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wang is passionate about research and education. He won the Singapore Orthopaedic Association P Balasubramaniam Young Orthopaedic Investigator’s Award in 2009 and has published in international journals. In 2019, he was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship and completed a fellowship at Hokkaido Medical Centre in Japan, where he trained in complex spinal deformity and revision spine surgeries. His clinical interests include degenerative spine conditions, spinal deformities, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
