Dr. Victor Kwok is an experienced medical doctor with over 22 years of clinical practice in psychological medicine. He has a strong interest in mindfulness-based therapy and has actively contributed to resilience training programs for healthcare professionals, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Kwok played a key leadership role in establishing and leading the Department of Psychiatry at Sengkang General Hospital, where he also founded the Mood and Anxiety Clinic to enhance standards of care. Prior to this, he served as Director for Early Intervention in Anxiety and Depression at Singapore General Hospital, where he contributed to the development of clinical guidelines and treatment protocols. He further advanced his expertise through a clinical fellowship at Stanford Hospital in the United States. Dr. Kwok is also deeply committed to medical education and has been recognised with teaching and role model awards from the National University of Singapore. He has held adjunct academic positions at Lee Kong Chian Medical School and Duke-NUS Medical School. Known for his compassionate approach, he has received multiple service excellence awards, including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Gold and Star categories). Beyond clinical work, he has contributed to national healthcare initiatives, including serving as Medical Lead for the Peer Support Network in SingHealth and participating in the Joy at Work Taskforce. He is also an advocate for mental health empowerment and regularly conducts talks on resilience for organisations and community groups.
