Dr. Tey Tze Tong

Dr. Tey Tze Tong is a Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in managing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions. Known for his warm and gentle approach, he emphasizes holistic, patient-centered care and has received multiple service excellence awards in recognition of his dedication. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore and went on to achieve Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine). He was subsequently elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He also holds the European Specialty Certificate in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and is accredited as a specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board in Singapore. Dr. Tey has broad expertise in gastroenterology and hepatology, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and enteroscopy. He previously led the Inflammatory Bowel Disease service at Sengkang General Hospital and continues to serve as a visiting consultant. He has undergone advanced training internationally, including at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London and the Mater Hospital in Brisbane, where he gained certification in intestinal ultrasound. In addition to clinical work, he is actively involved in medical education and has held multiple academic teaching roles across Singapore.
