Dr. Teo Yee Hong is an Orthopaedic Surgery specialist with extensive experience in hip and knee reconstruction, trauma, and sports surgery. He is known for his expertise in advanced joint replacement techniques, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive procedures, aimed at improving patient outcomes and recovery. He graduated from the National University of Ireland in 1998 and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2001. He later obtained his Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2002 and completed his advanced specialist training, earning the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics) in 2006. Dr. Teo was awarded the prestigious NUH Young Doctor Award for his work in stem cell therapy and subsequently received the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship to pursue fellowship training in Joint Replacement Surgery in Melbourne, Australia. He currently serves as Head of Adult Reconstruction in the Department of Orthopaedics at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He has vast experience in computer-assisted orthopaedic surgery and is among the early pioneers of patient-specific instrumentation for knee replacements, contributing to improved surgical precision and patient outcomes. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Teo is actively involved in teaching and research. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore and a Core Faculty Member of the NHG Residency Program. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent speaker at regional and international orthopaedic conferences.
