Dr. Tay Jia Sheng

Dr. Tay Jia Sheng is an experienced specialist in General Surgery with subspecialty expertise in minimally invasive vascular, endovascular, and endovenous surgery. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2004 and gained extensive exposure across multiple surgical disciplines including General Surgery, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery, and Paediatric Surgery before pursuing Advanced Specialist Training in General Surgery. Dr. Tay obtained his Master of Medicine in Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2015 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2017. In 2019, he joined Sengkang General Hospital as one of the founding vascular surgeons and played a significant role in establishing and developing the vascular subspecialty service. He underwent advanced overseas training in the United States, Australia, South Korea, and Thailand, where he refined innovative surgical techniques under internationally renowned experts. Dr. Tay previously led a high-volume vascular and endovascular practice, performing over 600 operations annually with excellent patient outcomes and low complication rates. His expertise includes endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, peripheral atherectomy, balloon angioplasty with intravascular ultrasound guidance, catheter thrombolysis and thrombectomy, dialysis access surgery, and minimally invasive vein harvesting techniques. Widely recognised for his expertise in vascular surgery, Dr. Tay is regularly invited as a speaker, proctor, and live case operator at international conferences and workshops. He is highly regarded for managing complex venous, arterial, aortic, wound care, and dialysis access cases using advanced minimally invasive surgical approaches.
