Dr. Tang Tjun Yip

Dr. Tang Tjun Yip is an experienced Senior Vascular and General Surgeon and Director of The Vascular & Endovascular Clinic at Farrer Park Hospital. Prior to private practice, he practiced at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he developed extensive expertise in vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Tang is highly regarded for managing complex redo and hybrid vascular cases and for applying advanced minimally invasive techniques to treat severe peripheral artery disease. He graduated from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, and obtained his medical qualification from Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 2000 with a Distinction in Surgery. He later completed higher surgical training in East Anglia and was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) by the University of Cambridge in 2009 for his research on carotid plaque inflammation. Following surgical training, Dr. Tang received the prestigious Cook British Society of Endovascular Therapy Fellowship and underwent advanced endovascular training at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. He holds dual accreditation in General Surgery and Vascular & Endovascular Surgery. Dr. Tang is also accredited as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician by the American Board of Wound Management and has extensive experience managing diabetic foot complications, gangrene, and chronic wounds using advanced tissue therapies and topical oxygen treatments. Academically, he has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications, contributed 10 book chapters, and published five books. He continues to play a leading role in vascular research, education, and innovation through international conferences, workshops, and national healthcare workgroups in Singapore.
