Dr. Tan Ken Jin

Dr. Tan Ken Jin is an orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty focus in foot and ankle disorders and sports injuries of the lower limbs. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his orthopaedic surgical training across multiple hospitals in Singapore. Upon completion of his advanced specialty training, he was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal in recognition of his outstanding performance. He further refined his expertise through two prestigious international fellowship programmes. He trained at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus in Germany under Professor Hans Zwipp, and at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction in the United States under Dr. Mark Myerson, a globally recognised pioneer in foot and ankle surgery. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Tan founded the Foot and Ankle Division and was actively involved in the Sports Medicine Division at the National University Hospital (NUH). He also serves as a Visiting Consultant at the Sports and Orthopaedic Clinic at the National University of Singapore Health Centre. Dr. Tan has a strong commitment to education and training. He is an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and a core faculty member of the NUHS Orthopaedic Residency Programme. He also served as Programme Director of the Foot and Ankle Education Programme at NUH, where he established structured fellowship training for regional surgeons in foot and ankle surgery. His clinical expertise includes ankle sports injuries, flat feet correction, and minimally invasive bunion surgery. He is frequently invited to chair and lecture at regional and international orthopaedic conferences and training courses.
