Dr. Tan Chong Hiok 陈崇旭医生

Dr. Tan Chong Hiok is a Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist with dual accredited training in both Echocardiology and Interventional Cardiology, making him uniquely qualified in Singapore to provide comprehensive and balanced cardiovascular care. He has extensive expertise in coronary angioplasty, complex coronary stenting, echocardiography, and preventive cardiology. Dr. Tan is especially experienced in left main artery stenting and chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions for patients with long-standing blocked coronary arteries, including complex cases where patients decline bypass surgery. He is also accredited in advanced echocardiographic imaging, including 2D echocardiography, treadmill stress echocardiography, dobutamine stress echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Tan graduated from the University of Leicester in 1989 and completed his cardiology training in 1999. He subsequently pursued advanced echocardiology training in Sydney, Australia, where he also published several scientific papers. Later, while serving at Changi General Hospital, he further trained in interventional cardiology before undertaking another sabbatical in Seoul, South Korea, at a leading international center for left main artery stenting and angioplasty. Upon returning to Singapore, he pioneered radial approach coronary interventions at Changi General Hospital. Dr. Tan remains actively involved in research, medical education, and international cardiology conferences, regularly serving as invited faculty at global meetings such as Asia PCR and TCTAP.
