Dr. Seto Kar Yin

Dr. Seto is a Senior Radiologist and Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Suite at Farrer Park Hospital with extensive expertise in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac MRI, and Contrast Ultrasonography. He obtained his basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1990 and later completed specialist radiology training in Singapore. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists of the United Kingdom in 2000 and subsequently completed Advanced Specialist Training in Radiology under the Singapore Specialist Accreditation Board. During his advanced training, Dr. Seto focused on Interventional Radiology and Body Imaging, leading to specialist accreditation by Singapore’s Ministry of Health and specialist registration with the Singapore Medical Council in 2003. In 2004, he received the Ministry of Health Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Fellowship in Cardiac MR Imaging of paediatric and adult congenital heart diseases at The Hospital for Sick Children and Toronto General Hospital in Canada. Dr. Seto served for 10 years at National University Hospital before becoming a founding member of JurongHealth, where he worked at Alexandra Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital as Senior Consultant Interventional Radiologist. His responsibilities included vascular interventions, interventional oncology services, angiography laboratory oversight, and Radiology PACS administration. He was also appointed Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Seto contributes actively to radiological societies and medical journal review activities.
