Dr. Ronny Tan Ban Wei 陈文伟医生

Dr. Ronny Tan Ban Wei is a Consultant Urologist and Andrologist who is locally trained, board certified by the Specialist Accreditation Board, and fellowship-trained in Andrology, Male Subfertility, Sexual Medicine, and Urological Prosthetic Surgery. He is the first Singaporean to complete a clinical fellowship in this niche specialty in the United States. During his fellowship, he gained advanced expertise in the placement of urethral slings, artificial urinary sphincters, and penile prostheses (malleable and inflatable) using Coloplast and Boston Scientific AMS systems. He is skilled in single-incision concomitant prosthesis placement for erectile dysfunction and stress urinary incontinence, and was among the first to use intralesional injections for Peyronie’s disease and second-generation PDE5 inhibitors for erectile dysfunction. Dr. Tan also performed prostatic urethral lift using the Urolift system and placed Singapore’s first Urolift implant in 2019. Previously, he was Director of Andrology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he led the Complex Erectile Dysfunction Clinic and pioneered low-intensity extracorporeal shockwave therapy (LiESWT). He provides comprehensive care for penile deformities, male infertility, and benign prostate hyperplasia using both minimally invasive and surgical approaches. In addition, he is actively involved in education and research, serving as Adjunct Assistant Professor and Senior Lecturer, and contributing extensively to academic journals and international conferences.
