Dr. Prem H. Thurairajah

Dr. Prem H. Thurairajah is a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology with over two decades of international experience in clinical practice, research, and advanced endoscopy. He graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India in 1997 and subsequently trained for over 15 years in the United Kingdom and the United States. He completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine across leading hospitals in England and Wales and was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, UK) in 2002. He later underwent specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the West Midlands Deanery, Birmingham, where he developed expertise in complex liver disease and transplantation. Dr. Thurairajah has held key roles internationally, including transplant hepatologist and interventional endoscopist positions at institutions such as the University of Kentucky and National University Hospital. He has also led hepatitis C treatment programs and managed complex liver conditions across multiple countries. He holds a PhD in viral hepatitis from the United Kingdom, completed in 2010, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals.
