Dr. P. Thiagarajan (Raj) is a highly experienced orthopedic and knee surgeon with over 25 years of expertise in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 1983. He further advanced his training with a Master Chirurgiae in Orthopedic Surgery from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom in 1992. Dr. Raj earned multiple fellowships, including from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1988, the International College of Surgeons of Chicago in 1990, and the Academy of Medicine of Singapore in Orthopedic Surgery in 1995. He has also been an International Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 1998. Dr. Raj has extensive experience working in overseas centers specializing in sports medicine and orthopedic conditions. He is currently practicing at Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Pte Ltd. His clinical expertise includes joint replacement surgery, trauma surgery, cartilage surgery, and sports injury rehabilitation. He is also skilled in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, a minimally invasive technique used to diagnose and treat joint disorders. Well known among professional athletes in Singapore, Dr. Raj has served as a team physician and has been affiliated with several sports organizations, including the Singapore Rugby Union and Singapore Sports Council. He has also contributed his expertise to events such as the Singapore Rugby Sevens.
