Dr. Ooi Choon Jin 黃春仁医生

Dr. Ooi Choon Jin is an experienced gastroenterologist who obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1989. He later earned his postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom in 1994 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Between 1998 and 2000, he underwent advanced training at the Center for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Gastrointestinal Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Ooi previously served as Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Singapore General Hospital from 2000 to 2012. He was also Chairman of the Chapter of Gastroenterologists, Academy of Singapore from 2011 to 2015. In academia, he has held roles as Clinical Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and currently serves as Adjunct Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He is presently practicing at Farrer Park Medical Centre as a gastroenterologist and visiting consultant. Dr. Ooi has published extensively in reputable journals including Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Singapore Medical Journal, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. His clinical and academic interests include inflammatory bowel disease, Helicobacter pylori-related disorders, hepatology, and nutrition.
