Dr. Ong Kong Wee 王光伟医生

Dr. Ong Kong Wee is a Breast and General Surgeon with a strong clinical focus on the diagnosis and management of both benign and malignant breast conditions. He runs his own practice at K W Ong Breast and General Surgery Clinic, where he applies up-to-date, evidence-based techniques in breast care. His expertise includes minimally invasive breast biopsy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, breast conserving surgery, and reconstructive breast surgery for breast cancer patients. Dr. Ong has a significant interest in breast cancer research and has authored more than 20 publications in leading medical journals such as Nature Genetics, Lancet Oncology, and Clinical Cancer Research. He was the Founding Head of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre from 2014 to 2018, the largest centre in Singapore managing a comprehensive range of breast conditions. In 2012, he pioneered the use of Intra-Operative Radiotherapy for early breast cancer treatment. Dr. Ong is also actively involved in medical education and training. He has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, and held leadership roles in residency training and mentorship programs. His contributions to patient care and education have earned him multiple awards, including the Outstanding Faculty Award and national recognition for healthcare service excellence.
