Dr. Ong Kian Peng

Dr. Ong Kian Peng is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive and laparoscopic colorectal surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of colorectal cancer, perianal conditions, and a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. With strong experience in both laparoscopic and open surgical techniques, he has performed numerous colon and rectal surgeries and is also an accredited console surgeon in robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery. In addition to colorectal surgery, Dr. Ong has a keen interest in endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as general surgical procedures including hernia repair and gallbladder surgery. He is also involved in trauma care and is an accredited instructor in the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training program. Dr. Ong obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and went on to complete his surgical training and fellowships with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He also earned his Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Prior to private practice, he served as Associate Consultant at Singapore General Hospital and later as Consultant Surgeon at Pacific Surgical and Colorectal Centre. He subsequently co-founded Colorectal Surgeons, Inc. and later joined HC Surgical Specialists. Beyond medicine, Dr. Ong has been actively involved in the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix medical team, serving as Deputy Chief Medical Officer.
