Dr. Ngoi Sing Shang

Dr. Ngoi Sing Shang is a Senior Consultant Surgeon with extensive experience in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. He has been in private practice for over 20 years and previously served as a Consultant Surgeon at the National University Hospital (NUH). He continues to hold appointments as a Visiting Consultant at NUH and Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr. Ngoi graduated from NUS in 1981 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 1986. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). He has also been awarded multiple prestigious scholarships, including the Local Merit Scholarship in Medicine, FRACS Scholarship, Singapore Cancer Society Overseas Research Scholarship, and research scholarships from Cornell Medical College and New York Cancer Prevention Fund. His international training includes academic and clinical attachments at leading institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital, St Mark’s Hospital (UK), New York Hospital, and Cornell Medical Centre. Dr. Ngoi has held various academic and clinical positions ranging from Medical Officer to Associate Professor at SGH and NUH. His clinical expertise includes colorectal surgery, laparoscopic surgery, hernia repair, adhesiolysis, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, endoscopy, gastroscopy, and ERCP.
