Dr. Ng Tay Meng 伍四明医生

Dr. Ng Tay Meng is a Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive expertise in therapeutic and interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy. He graduated from the University of Singapore in 1983 and completed his postgraduate specialist training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, obtaining a Master of Medicine (MMed) in 1989. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), as well as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Dr. Ng has held leadership positions in the field, including Vice President of the Singapore Gastroenterological Society (2000–2001) and Head of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Service at Changi General Hospital before entering private practice in 2003. He also spent a year of advanced training in 1994 at the National Medical Laser Centre in London, focusing on therapeutic and interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy, including endoscopic laser therapy for gastrointestinal cancers. His clinical expertise includes advanced endoscopic treatment of liver and stomach cancers, as well as a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. Dr. Ng has contributed significantly to research, having conducted clinical trials and published extensively in gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He is a recipient of the Young Investigator Awards (1996 and 1998) at the Asia-Pacific Digestive Disease Week.
