Dr. Melissa Tan

Dr. Melissa Tan Wee Ping is a Senior Consultant Dermatologist and highly experienced Mohs surgeon with expertise in dermatologic and laser surgery. She specialises in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer management, keloids, scars, and skin rejuvenation, as well as general skin, hair, and nail conditions in both adults and children. Prior to establishing her private practice, Dr. Tan served as Chief of the Dermatologic Surgery and Laser Unit and Skin Cancer Unit at the National Skin Centre (NSC), Singapore. She has been performing Mohs micrographic surgery since 2010 and has extensive experience in dermatologic surgical procedures, including treatment of keloids, acne scars, birthmarks, moles, skin tumours, pigmentation disorders, and other complex skin conditions. Dr. Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2000 and completed her dermatology specialist training at the National Skin Centre. She further pursued a dual fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, advanced dermatologic surgery, and cutaneous lymphoma at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. She is also actively involved in research, having served as principal investigator and co-investigator in multiple research grants. In addition to English, she speaks Mandarin, Hokkien, and Japanese, and is also a certified TCM dietician.
