Dr. Maurice Choo 朱福兴医生

Dr. Maurice Choo practices Cardiology and Internal Medicine at Farrer Park Hospital and Medical Centre, with subspecialty expertise in interventional cardiology and complex cardiovascular disease management. His clinical focus includes percutaneous coronary intervention, heart failure, valvular heart disease, lipid disorders, and hypertension. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU and Imperial College). Dr. Choo completed his Residency in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. During a sabbatical as Consultant at the Brompton Hospital in London in 1995, he studied cardiac pathology and biomedical computing. He later completed doctoral (MD/PhD) research focusing on lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) and coronary angiographic disease. He is a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. Dr. Choo previously served as Founding Chief and Professor of the Cardiac Department at the National University Hospital, Singapore. At the National University of Singapore, he held multiple senior academic leadership roles including Professor of Medicine, Vice-Dean (Research), Chairman of the Medical Faculty Research Committee, Director of the National University Medical Institute, and Chairman of the Master of Medicine Examination Organisation Committee.
