Dr. Loo Wee Lim is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in spine surgery, with a strong focus on minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques. He is highly experienced in performing spinal decompression, instrumented fusion, and disc replacement procedures for both traumatic and degenerative spine conditions. His clinical interests include keyhole and endoscopic spine surgeries, which aim to reduce complications and promote faster recovery for patients. In addition to spine surgery, Dr. Loo is also skilled in managing a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including trauma and degenerative joint diseases affecting the hip and knee. Prior to joining private practice, he served as a Senior Consultant at Changi General Hospital and the CGH-National Neuroscience Institute Integrated Spine Centre. He is actively involved in medical education as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and previously served as Assistant Program Director of the SingHealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programme. Dr. Loo graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2002 and completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2013. He further advanced his expertise through a prestigious Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship, undergoing fellowship training in spine surgery at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and patient care and continues to contribute to research and education in orthopaedics.
