Dr. Loo Wai Mun

Dr. Loo Wai Mun is an experienced Gastroenterologist with subspecialty expertise in hepatology and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. She has extensive clinical experience in managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions, as well as performing advanced endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and endoscopic hemostasis. Dr. Loo previously served as a Consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital, where she also led the Fatty Liver subspecialty service. She played a key role in establishing the Fatty Liver Subspecialty Clinic at NUH and developed a multidisciplinary Metabolic Program at Alexandra Hospital to manage patients with fatty liver disease and associated metabolic conditions such as obesity. Dr. Loo graduated from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, and completed her Internal Medicine training in Singapore. She obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) before pursuing Advanced Specialist Training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology under the National University Health System. She is accredited as a specialist by the Specialists Accreditation Board of Singapore. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Loo is actively involved in medical education and served as Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She continues to contribute to the advancement of gastroenterology through education and professional service.
