Dr. Lim Chong Hee 林崇熹医生

Dr. Lim Chong Hee is a highly experienced Consultant Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon with over 25 years of clinical practice. He specializes in complex heart and lung conditions, including coronary artery bypass surgery, aortic aneurysm repair, mediastinal tumour surgery, esophagectomy for esophageal cancer, and pulmonary embolectomy and endarterectomy. He has a particular interest in managing heart and lung failure and is a pioneer in the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) for advanced heart failure patients. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Lim served at the National Heart Centre, Singapore, where he continues to contribute as a Visiting Consultant. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1990 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1994. He further advanced his cardiothoracic surgical training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the United States from 1999 to 2001. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lim has contributed significantly to medical education, serving as a Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He remains active in teaching, mentoring, and speaking at local and international medical forums.
